About The Brand
LEIN /līn/ [German] : flax, an annual plant with narrow, lance-shaped leaves and blue flowers; cultivated for its seeds and fiber, from which linen is made.
A graduate of New York’s Parsons Institute, Meredith Stoecklein’s first foray into the fashion industry came via coveted internships with Zac Posen and Narciso Rodriguez. It was under the tutelage of these iconic designers, both of them a regular presence on the red carpet, that a particular interest in formalwear began to blossom. The appreciation and keen understanding of craftsmanship Meredith first honed with them would come into sharper focus as she transitioned into the world of celebrity dressing which afforded her the opportunity of working directly with the head seamstresses at Chanel couture. That rare glimpse into the myriad details and intricate construction of each dress, a perfect fusion of artistry and technique, would have a profoundly influential effect on Meredith. After a stint working for a CFDA Incubator menswear designer, where she fine-tuned her tailoring and developed a sharp business acumen, she finally felt ready to forge her own path.
LEIN is a ready-to-wear collection, designed and produced in New York City.
